Flesh X Steel [Mech, LitRPG, sci-fi]

Let there be darkness. And with that, long-extinct monsters and civilizations reemerge with a single goal: to consume the Engine of Soul Cycles and ascend to godhood, triggering the total collapse of the cosmos. As the threat grows, chaos spreads through the Hierarchy of gods, creating the perfect opportunity to seize power. EON, the god of the third dimension, has received a decree. His creations, the Soul Reapers, have awakened, and he must destroy them again. But the decree is a trap. Adrian Warren was training to join the U.S. Army’s Ranger Regiment, only to have that cut short after committing murder. After his death, he is offered a chance to save his world from annihilation. He receives game-like abilities along with a derelict spaceship. Sylvia Sandrose is a mech pilot working for a mercenary company on the planet Xera, a former colony of Earth. She has an untreatable disease that makes her a liability. Life on Xera is hard: rogue robots infest the planet, consuming all organic matter. The human population is desperate for a way out. All three share a common goal, but the threat runs deeper than they realize. Can they become powerful enough to save the cosmos? What to expect: Mechs vs. Robots, Mech vs. Mech, Mechs vs. Monsters (space monsters too), military stuff, space wars. And all of the above without mechs, too. None of the lead characters are AI or AI trapped in a human body. And expect a reasonable progression, adventure, the discovery of new civilizations, and a dungeon planet (tho, that’ll come a bit later), there may also be gore in later chapters. I haven’t decided yet whether to leave those parts in, but I’ll add the tag just in case. Schedule:  The first few chapters will take some time to edit. It might be 1/week, or 3/week. After chapter 6, I may be able to stick to a 3/week schedule. I usually write at least 6k-8k words per chapter, and I need to split them into smaller parts of around 3k, that’s more readable here, I think. Anyway, I’m publishing the first chapter now to give myself a sense of urgency and help me focus more effectively on my writing.  English is not my native language, so please keep that in mind.
