by Jaiden Raney
I feel a tear escape me, “I don’t wanna be some awful monster.” Alice smiles, caressing my cheek, “Then be a good man, Lazarus.” Seventeen years old and ostracized by the people of Wyndall, Lazarus has always been different. His strange appearance, unnatural speed, and mysterious father have made him the subject of rumors since childhood. But when his father suddenly sends him away to apprentice under Tristan Vayne, the last Knight of St. Enoch, and a prophecy about him is unearthed, Lazarus discovers that the monsters whispered about in children’s stories are horrifyingly real. Soon, he must face the evils of the Dark!
