A failed genetic experiment creates MALEVOLENT-01, the first Malevolent born in centuries. But the creature carries memories of RED SLAUGHTER LAND, a cursed dimension that was once part of Earth and became the prison of the ancient Malevolents. Now, the ANCIENT GATEWAYS are opening. Led by the APEX KING, the Malevolents begin returning to Earth. The secret organization known as the ILLUMINATI tries to stop them, but humanity suffers devastating defeats. As the gateways spread, the survivors discover four ancient keys that may be the only way to seal RED SLAUGHTER LAND forever. But humanity's greatest hope may be the creature it created. MALEVOLENT-01 must choose between its ancient kind and the humans who gave it a second life. The fate of two worlds depends on that choice. And humanity is about to learn that being the strongest does not mean being the greatest.
