Magdalena Holdt should have died on Alchorist. Instead, something answered her prayers. In the aftermath, the warriors of the Sororitas Lucis find themselves fighting wars within and without. Lucia hides beneath armor of discipline, Audacia wrestles between loyalty to the cause and to her Sisters, Provida finds herself caught up in a mystery, and somewhere amongst the dead Citeria is missing. Watching them all is Inquisitor Brandt, a man sent to determine whether the miracles surrounding Magdalena are signs of divine favour—or evidence that something far worse has found them. As battlefields become haunted by impossible moments, flowers grow where none should exist, and a place beyond reality begins to take shape, five Sisters must confront a question more dangerous than any daemon: What if something really is listening? Lux Moriens is a Warhammer 40,000 fan novella about faith, sisterhood, trauma, and the terrible uncertainty of miracles. Unofficial fanfiction. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Games Workshop.
