There's a girl at school who smells like copper and dust. She smiles at everyone, twelve different ways, and keeps her laugh light like she has everything she could ever want. She lives in the attic where the floorboards speak a language only she understands, inside a house weeks behind on rent and a father who couldn't care less about her. Everyone at school knows her name, the freshman whom everyone loves and adores. Nobody knows she keeps a tally of who sees her cry, or what she does with the ones who get too close. She's looking for something. Or someone. The distinction stopped mattering a long time ago. The monster underneath the girl is patient. The monster underneath is hungry. And the monster underneath is so tired of pretending. ⚠️DISCLAIMER⚠️ - This story is exactly 10 chapters long - It does not have a happy ending - There is extreme violence (but not graphic gory details) and has self harm in it - Not to be confused or associated with Pretty Little Liars (has absolutely nothing to do with it, this was just the name that a friend suggested) - High school homicide(s) involved - Loads of pretty little lies ;)
