Khalmer is changing. The grey elf capital has always been a city of old power and older secrets — but something is shifting beneath its surface. A threat from the south. A human king named Mamout. Anabella Nyxara Harkkinen, the grey elf princess, is waking up to the horrors of what lies beyond the palace walls. And from Mamout's shadow rises the Butcher — tightening his grip around Khalmer's neck.
