Parasociative Anomalous Matchmaking

Eva has homework. The Pair System has assigned her an anomaly. His name is Mark. He’s reserved, unexpectedly considerate, and now her partner in a series of publicly broadcast tasks. The audience has opinions about their chemistry. Eva would like everyone to stop having them—especially when she’s beginning to have a few herself. But getting to know Mark means adjusting to more than an unfamiliar roommate. Beyond the familiar world, intent has more weight than gravity, relations have more permanence than matter, and sometimes crying into a ripped teddy bear turns the tears into threads that can mend the bears broken heart. Eva would like to establish some boundaries. Reality is proving uncooperative.
