A Bureaucrat Reborn in the Age of War

Caelan Veyr awakens in the body of a young mercenary fighting in a war that has nothing to do with him. This world shares the same seas, rivers, and mountains as Earth, yet its nations, cultures, and history are completely different. With a rebellion collapsing around him, Caelan soon finds himself stranded deep inside the Kharzadian Empire alongside thousands of soldiers searching for a way home. Armed only with memories from his previous life as a bureaucrat, Caelan begins by solving small problems of food, logistics, medicine, and organization.  But as more people start relying on him, survival slowly turns into leadership - and leadership into something far greater.
