Broken Guitar Strings

BROKEN GUITAR Genre: Contemporary Urban Fantasy / Mythic Romance Logline: Two estranged sisters leading lives of survival and deception must untangle a web of royal fraud, ancestral magic, and hidden bloodlines when their paths collide within the gates of a forgotten kingdom. Synopsis: Lihle Mbatha’s world shattered the night her mother died, leaving her with a final, staggering deathbed secret: she has an older sister named Avethandwa, abandoned years ago. Now twenty-one, Lihle is trapped in a grueling cycle of dead-end jobs and demeaning bosses, holding onto a life where her dreams feel as snapped and unplayable as a broken guitar. Miles away, Sadie Nkosi is living a very different kind of nightmare. For seven years, after her father’s death, her greedy aunt and uncle have forced her into a life of crime, culminating in her most dangerous scam yet: impersonating Princess Nombulelo to be sold off to the royal family of the Unyazi Kingdom for a fortune. Stepping through the towering palace gates in a stolen identity, Sadie is terrified of exposure, praying for anything to halt a deception that could cost her everything. Unbeknownst to both sisters, their lives are connected by a shared royal heritage that the modern world forgot. As Lihle begins searching for the sister she never knew, and Sadie finds herself pulled into the dangerous, majestic orbit of royal princes and ancient, silver-eyed guardians, their broken realities begin to snap back together. To claim their true futures, they will have to survive a world where magic is waking up, secrets carry a lethal price, and the strings of destiny are pulling them toward a collision that will change the kingdom forever.
