Chronicles of the First Kami: Shaping Fate in a World of Millions

Long before modern fantasy novels were written, Japan’s oldest legends were already telling stories of another world. Meet Susanoo, the ferocious storm god exiled from the heavenly realm of Takamagahara, and Ōnamuchi, a tragic deity persecuted by his brothers and stripped of his life twice over. This is the epic tale of gods caught in the cruel grip of destiny who fought to carve out their own sanctuary and shape the world with their own hands. Surprisingly human despite their divine power, they laugh, cry, and fall in love. Experience the origin of modern entertainment through the lighthearted, fast-paced world of the Kojiki—a grand genesis fantasy set in a realm of millions of gods.
