Otherworldly

A 28-year-old Japanese office worker dies after years of exhausting corporate life. Instead of meeting a goddess and being handed a convenient cheat skill, he awakens as a newborn child in a distant fantasy kingdom. What begins as a child’s attempt to enjoy his second life gradually becomes something much larger. Ancient monsters awaken, neighboring kingdoms begin preparing for war, mysterious ruins reveal that the world’s history is not what people believe, and Aren eventually discovers that his reincarnation may not have been an accident. Despite possessing enough power to destroy armies, Aren’s greatest desire remains remarkably simple, “I just want to live a good life this time.” Unfortunately, the world refuses to cooperate.
