Cyrus was never meant for greatness.  Despite carrying the name of a legendary conqueror, he had been born as a baker's son - a cruel joke for a boy that would live and die at the mouth of a oven. But when a lord's son sought to beat him into submission, Cyrus refused to be put in his place. And he paid dearly for it. Now bound to a mysterious spirit and thrust into a mysterious world of corrupt nobles, ruthless cultivators, and ancient powers, Cyrus is forced to abandon the life he once knew. But with nothing left to lose, a baker's boy has one chance to prove that even a man born beneath the notice of the gods can carve his own path, burning bright enough to to tear himself free from the fate forced upon him. What does it take to shake off the yoke of heaven? To seize the reins of your own destiny, and stride, unbowed, into the storm of tribulation waiting for you?  Defy the gods. Defy the Fates. He is only going to grow stronger because he works for it. - I will try my best to ensure that there are no filler characters. Still thematically the same Chinese cultivation all of you are familiar with, but with Greek mythos aspects - New chapters every weekday. - Around 1.8k to 2k words per chapter (or sometimes even more!).
