A war that hasn't ended is a war that hasn't been lost. Guarded nobles are just as unsafe as abandoned peasants when the enemy is at the door. In an empire shaped by war, Habelle finds herself among the students of the Imperial Academy: a place where bloodline, status, and talent determine who is meant to rise and who is meant to remain beneath them. === I have only released this fiction on Royal Road. If you see it anywhere else, it has been stolen. I'll try my best to post every Sunday, at 08:30 AM, PST. I do care more about quality than deadlines, though, because you all deserve better than whatever unready slop is in my draft, so I might delay it a little sometimes - sorry in advance!

Traffic and conversion both sit mid-field for a story this size. Growth here compounds from consistency: steady cadence feeds traffic, and a sharper hook lifts what each view is worth.
