The Zone doesn't reward talkers. It rewards men who know when to shut up and when to shoot. Stalker Wormwood takes on a simple-sounding job: find a missing partner, and don't ask questions. But the deeper he goes - through Rotten Gully, an abandoned research institute, and the dead town of Kovylsk - the clearer it becomes that someone very much doesn't want the secret he's chasing to reach the living. Hostile territory, cynical company, buried Cold War science, and not a shred of glory. Just survival, loot, and dark humor to the last.
