The Nine-Tailed Fox Who Waited for the Rain

In twelfth-century Japan, the powerful nine-tailed fox Amatsukonohana falls in forbidden love with Minamoto no Renji, a fearless young shogun she once rescued inside her abandoned shrine. When their love angers the heavens and Renji dies in battle, Amatsukonohana seals herself away in grief. Nearly nine centuries later, the rain brings Renji’s reincarnation back to her shrine—this time as an ordinary high school student who unknowingly adopts her fox form. But as memories of his former life slowly awaken, so does the ancient curse that once tore them apart.
