Ember Born

by David Temidayo

AdventureFantasyLow FantasyMale LeadMystery

In the highlands of Kenya, a Sacred Flame has guarded the Chemari people for generations, until King Zeno claimed its power for himself.Where he was meant to protect the flame, he chose to control it, and darkness began to creep into the land he ruled. When a prophecy names a newborn child as the one who can restore the flame's true spirit, Zeno moves to destroy him before he can grow into that power. But the boy is smuggled away and adopted by an American family, raised far from the land of his birth, safe, but never quite whole. He grows up sensing something is missing, until a strange vision awakens an ability he never knew he had: the power to travel through time itself. What he sees changes everything. Now he must uncover the truth of where he came from, master a power he doesn't yet understand, and return to a kingdom that needs him, to face a king who broke his own sacred trust, and will do anything to keep what he's stolen.
