Vera Orlov built Nyxara as a refuge for the unwanted, the exiled, and the dangerous. Now the kingdom is starving under the weight of that promise.Refugees gather at the gates. Ebonreach threatens to withdraw its aid. Violent Nightstalkers press against the borders. And every decision Vera makes risks turning the sanctuary she fought to create into another kingdom ruled by fear.As tensions rise, old dreams begin haunting her again: blurred halls, a bitter taste, and the voice of a man who knows her name far too well. With Sorin Sinclar guarding the kingdom she built and Dorian Veyne carrying secrets from a past she cannot remember, Vera must decide who she can trust before Nyxara fractures from within.
