by EclipseWardenK. Arven
Humanity has conquered the solar system. Every awakened human possesses an Eclipse Seed, a mysterious source of power that determines their potential. Kael Arven has none. At eighteen, he is branded Seedless and condemned to a life at the bottom of society. But during the Awakening Ceremony, something goes wrong. The machines can't find his Eclipse Seed. Because Kael doesn't have one. He is one. When a mysterious creature attacks his city, Kael discovers an ability unlike anything humanity has ever recorded: he can absorb fragments of defeated creatures and evolve by understanding their powers. What begins as a desperate struggle for survival soon becomes something far greater. Ancient ruins begin responding to Kael. Forgotten civilizations seem to know his name. And somewhere beyond the stars, something that has been sleeping for thousands of years has finally awakened. Kael thought he was fighting to control his own destiny. He hasn't yet realized that the fate of the universe may depend on him.
