Everyday Hearts - Book 2 - Bolts And Books

Everyday Hearts - Book 2 - Bolts And Books

by Elo Franklyn

ComedyContemporaryCozyFemale LeadRomance

Liana's life is a carefully balanced mess. She teaches, she nurtures, she holds everything together, and quietly falls apart in the margins. Her desk is buried under papers and half-finished ideas for her first book, but she calls it purpose, not pressure. Broke, burned out, and barely making ends meet, she keeps telling herself she can hold on a little longer. Robin works with his hands, not words. Engines make sense; letters, less so. He spends his days in his uncle's shop, fixing what others give up on, building something steady out of noise and grit, while secretly dreaming of sunsets in Sicily. Then, in a stroke of bad luck, or maybe something else, they get stuck in a hospital elevator together. Just fluorescent lighting, rising tension, and two strangers with nowhere to look but at each other - he instantly likes her energy, and she falls for his dry humor. Over the following weeks, he fixes her car and frees her evenings for her literary dreams by cooking and cleaning, and she teaches him something he had long given up trying to learn and helps him sort the paperwork in the shop. They quickly discover that both of them love to build castles in the sky; dreaming about things neither of them could ever afford. Through damaged differentials, financial chaos, and pathetic poems, they slowly realize that the best dreams are for free.
