“The legend’s son steps onto the court. But here, a name won’t win you games.” Two years after a tragedy tore his family apart, Akio Tendoji is starting over at Gyosai High School. He has only one goal in mind: join the basketball team and prove he can rise beyond the shadow of his father, the legendary Akira Tendoji. But between past grudges, intrigued classmates, and a strict refusal from the team captain—one of the top players in the country—getting on the court will come down to a high-stakes challenge. Akio has everything to prove. The game is just getting started.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 5–9 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views lifetime.
