In the Galar region, not everybody can embark on their pokémon journey earlier in life. For those people, the discovery that they are not, in fact, a prodigy can crush the dreams of even the most enthusiastic Gym Challengers. Aveline was destined to be a pokémon trainer after her dad took her to her first live battle aged ten. Fifteen years on, she is determined to make the most of her Gym Challenge, even if two Champion-endorsed trainers leave her in the dust. Some people have all the luck.

Traffic and conversion both sit mid-field for a story this size. Growth here compounds from consistency: steady cadence feeds traffic, and a sharper hook lifts what each view is worth.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 5–9 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
