The Other Me For years, sixteen-year-old Jake has been obsessed with becoming perfect. What started as simple insecurity slowly consumed his life. He stopped going out, lost his motivation, and began believing that everything would be better if he could just become the person he wished he was. Then one night, his reflection smiles back at him. A being identical to him steps out of the mirror—a version of himself that possesses everything he believes he lacks: confidence, talent, beauty, and freedom from insecurity. But this isn’t just a monster. It knows everything about him. Every comparison. Every wish. Every time he looked in the mirror and wished he were someone else. Because it was created from him. And now, it wants to become him. When a mysterious organization arrives and identifies the creature as an unprecedented S-Rank Manifestation, Jake learns the terrifying truth: the more deeply a person feeds an extreme emotion or obsession, the stronger its manifestation becomes. And if a manifestation merges with its creator, the person may lose control of who they are. Now jake must face the one enemy no one else can defeat for him— himself.
