Sypnopsis Twenty-six-year-old Ethan Reyes has enough problems without adding cultivation to the list. He works all day, fights through Manila traffic, worries about money, and comes home exhausted. Cultivation, immortals, spiritual beasts—those are things that belong in movies and web novels. Then a strange old man moves into the abandoned house next door. He calls himself Uncle Ramon. He buys rice like he's feeding an entire barangay, rarely leaves his house, and grows vegetables with leaves blacker than night. Ethan thinks his new neighbor is simply eccentric. Until he sees Ramon destroy a concrete wall with one punch. That night, something even stranger happens. [Cultivation System Activated.] Ethan suddenly discovers that the supernatural world isn't fiction. Cultivators have been living alongside ordinary people for generations, hiding behind businesses, families, sects, and ordinary city life. Unfortunately, Ethan knows absolutely nothing about cultivation. His only guide is the mysterious old man next door—and the strange System that has chosen him. As Ethan begins cultivating, he discovers that his neighbor's backyard is hiding more than vegetables. Spiritual plants, ancient formations, mysterious beasts, hidden cultivators, and secrets buried beneath the city slowly pull him into a world he never knew existed. And the first cultivation resource Ethan gets his hands on? A vegetable from Uncle Ramon's backyard. It might just change his life. Because Ethan isn't simply learning how to cultivate. He's about to discover why he was chosen.
