The great white apocalypse left a world of ice and rust where disparate peoples are only able to survive through cooperation. Stave is a world of crushing sorrow and brutal existence. The continent of Westermont hosts a network of connected towns and cities where these downtrodden peoples live, struggle, and die. The freezing tundra and icy taiga home to wild animals and mutated monsters. Below the surface, beneath the snows lie graves - deep dark structures from another time that teem with even deadlier creatures. The Elk Short Story Compendium hosts a number of one off stories meant to flesh out the world of Elk. Stories of deathly battles within graves, hopeful tales of cooperation, and day to day occurrences of normal people. Bold adventurers and wretched villains await in a world with no sun and perpetual snowfall. If you are lucky enough, you may even encounter the legendary elk.Welcome to a world of snowbound tragedy.
