CardStar Duelist: Every Duel, A LegendThe card shouldn't exist.Hoshinova Corporation just announced the first ★8 cards to the world — white-gold, official, years in the making. Haruto found his three months ago, washed up black and unmarked on the shore of his fishing village, a few weeks after burying his grandfather. He doesn't play because it was his grandfather's game. He isn't chasing some dream Jiji never got to finish. Haruto picked up that old, half-forgotten Warrior deck for one reason: he wanted to find out if this — being a Duelist — was what he'd been looking for. He still isn't sure. But every duel he wins asks the question again, a little louder than before. Now that same deck is all he has walking into the Miyazaki Qualifying Championship — the first rung of a ladder that climbs all the way to the national stage, and beyond, to Duelists the world hasn't even heard of yet. Every duel comes down to a hair's width: a Booster played half a second too late, a card sacrificed at exactly the right moment, Power stacked and countered until someone's Life Points hit zero.Haruto doesn't know why the card found him. He doesn't know what it wants. But somewhere between the wins and the losses, he's started to notice something he didn't expect —he's starting to love this game.
