On the day Gideon Carter married the love of his life, reality shattered. A heartbeat after their first kiss began, Gideon and Evangeline find themselves in the ruined world of Caelorra, where the last free nation, the Republic of the Dawnspire, has already fallen. They were summoned — one intentionally, the other by accident — after the war was already lost. The archmages who called them are dead. The armies of darkness have already won. Separated within minutes of arriving, Gideon is greeted by the System… which immediately malfunctions. A feat meant to be granted once echoes three times before the error is ultimately forced into reality: Legendary Hero. Legendary Hero. Legendary Hero. No single mortal was ever meant to possess such power. Yet, according to the System’s cold calculations, his odds of survival remain nearly hopeless. Given only a single tutorial quest before the enemy breaks down the door, Gideon is thrown into an impossibly-vast world of classes, skills, sacred vows, and kingdoms already reduced to ash. Now, enslaved in a subterranean mine and separated from his bride by over one hundred thousand kilometers of untamed continent, he must forge himself into a warrior, and pull off the impossible. Somewhere, across a distance that would take decades to span by foot, Evangeline is alive — and the anomaly the System created when she landed in Caelorra has only just begun. ——————— This novel has Christian Main Characters and while it's not intended to preach at the audience it is a part of them. If you hate Christianity enough that it upsets you to see Christians living as humble, generally moral, well-intentioned, and even heroic human beings in a fantasy world this is your opportunity to close the page and find something else to read. This novel is not my soapbox in order to force my political or religious views on anyone. I am just here to entertain you. If it's impossible for you to be entertained in a work of fiction containing sincere Christians as main characters, then this is likely not the story for you. I maintain a flexible schedule. New chapters are promised at least once every chronological week by Friday. More will generally be more common and I actually am much closer to daily releases rather than weekly. I will drop them when I finish them and feel like doing so rather than following a set release schedule. I can promise not to leave you hanging for too long (assuming my health remains stable). This writing style which keeps pressure off of me allows me to write most efficiently and deliver more than the minimum which I promise without it becoming a burden which could result in a lower-quality story if I am forcing myself to write. My first novel, The Eternal Throne Chronicles: New Eden Rising managed to reach more than 700 pages in a little over a month using this method. That one is on Hiatus until this one is at least 500 pages or so. Then I'll split my time more evenly between them, offering regular content in both settings.
