Bobby Champion, Too: Returning to the Ring After a Brief Absence. Vol. 5. The Semi-Main Event.

In our penultimate volume, Bobby Tyson is closer than ever to the main event—and a shot at the NAWF World Championship. As Mr. America, his popularity continues to grow, but protecting the masked character is beginning to take its toll. Now working his way up the card, Bobby finds himself in the semi-main event against Marika, the Fijian Nightmare, with a world title match against Frank “Gator” Godwin waiting on the horizon. But the pressures of wrestling aren't confined to the ring. Lady wrestler Ashley Ryan is creating problems both in the ring and in the locker room, forcing head booker Brian Cunneyworth to decide how much longer he can tolerate her behavior. Meanwhile, the return of another lady wrestler threatens to disrupt Bobby's already complicated life. Corporal Chuck Keller continues towards a dramatic character change, while the NAWF booking committee faces an increasingly difficult situation with the volatile VCW locker room. Christopher Ziogas is offered a place on the NAWF roster, but bringing new talent into the promotion may create as many problems as it solves. Away from wrestling,Michael March makes his debut with the Montreal Expos. A popular jobber is offered a  new role within the company—and a popular veteran wrestler realizes his days with the NAWF may be numbered. And looming over everything is the biggest event in NAWF history. Star-Spangled Battle  is coming to Philadelphia's Independence Mall on July 4th. With the spectacular set for a nationally televised broadcast on the American Sports Network, the network has an unusual request: five-year-old Nicholas Tyson has been asked to sing the National Anthem. Now Bobby and Jennifer have to convince their son to step into the spotlight. Mr. America is becoming more popular by the day, but Bobby can't help thinking about what comes next. He knows how this is supposed to end. That doesn't mean he's stopped worrying about it. The semi-main event is only the beginning.
