Twilight Soul [Magic Academy, Mysteries, Hidden Genius]

On the day of awakening, 14 year old orphan Shinazu Tsukuyomi was led to his execution room under fake smiles. The reason: he awakened the world's most feared, mischievous, and hated magic element out of all eleven, Dark Magic. With his survival-honed instincts and quick-wittedness, he somehow managed to escape his immediate death, but still, he was chased to his death. And he was supposed to be dead. But a celestial grace intervened and changed the boy's drowning fate. He was given a chance to learn at the world-renowned Himetsu Royal Academy of Magic, which he leaped at in order to become strong. Now disguised as a weak fire mage, he smiles politely, takes the insults of arrogant nobles, and plays the timid scholar. Behind that fragile mask lies a calculating monster who repays malice a thousandfold. He will climb the ranks in silence until the empire itself learns to fear the dark. But not all think alike. Some truly care for him, and began to share a bond with him, though all those feelings of care and warmth are completely foreign for him compared to his street struggle days when everyone looked at him with disgust and every smile was wrapped up in a devious plot. Will Shinazu accept these foreign feelings? Will he be able to build genuine relationships even after being discovered as a dark mage? Will he be found out and purged, or will he take the path of evil like previous dark mages and turn against the world? Whatever fate brings him, will he be able to accept it? That is for the future. Right now, for starters, he has to survive the envious noble eyes and discerning professors, all while collecting wealth and power in disguise. The Protagonist: Shinazu Tsukuyomi - Acts like an innocent 14 year old on the outside, but operates with sharp, survival-honed instincts on the inside. - Never forgets a debt. He will repay kindness tenfold like a benevolent god and return malice a thousandfold like a relentless demon. - Talented, fast, mischievous, with hidden overpowered abilities, but weak in raw physical strength. - Easily flustered and shy in front of his favorite princess. What to Expect: - Ancient Mysteries: Legendary artifacts, hidden places, magical treasures, lost magical histories, mages, and knights. - First 100 to 150 chapters: Magic academy dynamics, training, exams, genuine relationships, magic theory, artifact crafting, alchemy, and daily student life. - As the academy years progress: Rivalries, brutal battles in dungeons or against magical beasts, tournaments, festivals, events, and deeper world lore coming into focus. - By the end of academy life, which may arrive after 1000+ chapters, the story will transition into high-stakes politics, wars, kingdoms, the Demon King, and overpowered clashes. - One thing is certain: Shinazu will never abandon either his playful, innocent, flustered side or his mischievous, secret identity. This story is not just about a single character chasing power or one isolated thread of magic. It is an entire living realm, another lifetime, another dream waiting to be explored. Think of it less like a frantic roller coaster that throws everything at you at once, and more like a long, scenic train journey, one that takes its time carving paths through grand mountain heights and perilous depths.
