Forced to combat shapeshifting cultists, grotesque abominations, and the charismatic ‘Fleshwalker’ that leads them all. In this battle, there is no hope of victory, the best he can do is stay alive. But when Finch is offered a deal that could lift him from poverty, he finds himself entangled with the city’s elite ‘ascendants’, all desperately trying to fend off the assault for just a little bit longer. As time passes though, the mist clears and the city’s defenders are forced to face a disturbing conclusion. The monster is holding back.
