Kael has spent his entire life trapped inside a body that barely works. Walking is difficult, short distances drain him, and sleep rarely brings much relief. His grandfather taught him that life is something you pursue even when it does not bother giving you lemons to make lemonade. That was why Kael used a wooden staff instead of crutches. It helped him move and became part of who he was. Every summer and nearly every weekend, his grandfather took him to their cabin in the Colorado wilderness and pushed him to become the best version of himself his body would allow. Even when a few miles took hours, Kael loved the struggle. His grandfather taught him wilderness survival and how to use his staff as a weapon. Kael could barely imitate him, but watching the old man move was like watching art. Then HEAVENS arrived. Earth merged with other worlds and became part of Pangea. Cultivation Energy flooded the world, beasts began changing, and population centers became safer places to survive. Kael was nowhere near one. He was isolated at the cabin with his grandfather when HEAVENS appeared, and the old man tricked Kael into killing him. What the hell? HEAVENS answered with four Badges: Killer of the War God.Broken but Not Defeated.Impossible Odds.First Blood. His Status raised even more questions. Bloodline: Sealed.Heavenly Root: Missing. Without a Heavenly Root, Kael could not cultivate or enter the tutorial. He was left alone in dangerous wilderness with a System he barely understood. At least HEAVENS changed one thing for the better. During integration, the System healed physical injuries, deformities, and disabilities. For the first time in Kael’s life, his body worked. He still could not cultivate, but he could gain Experience, Levels, Skills, Attributes, Badges, and eventually a Class. Kael had spent his whole life fighting for every step. Now he had a healthy body and a familiar staff, but HEAVENS had still dealt him a rotten hand. Then again, it almost seemed as if his grandfather had been preparing him for this his entire life. Kael still had a million questions. But first, it was time to make some lemonade. ——————— Author’s Note This is a weak-to-strong progression story with anime-inspired vibes, cultivation, System progression, and a heavy slice-of-life focus. Kael’s growth is meant to feel earned. Training, mistakes, breakthroughs, Skills, relationships, travel, and ordinary routines all matter. There will be fights, danger, exploration, and larger conflicts, but also plenty of time spent training, learning, experimenting, building relationships, and simply living in the world. There will be no harem. Expect cultivation, progression, character growth, anime energy, and plenty of slice-of-life.
