Every Tuesday, people disappear. Nathan Cole barely gives it a second thought until he becomes one of them.
Nathan wakes in Dusthaven, a deserted 1947 Western town, wearing mismatched armour, silver cowboy boots and a brown duster. He has no idea where he is, why a voice inside his head keeps giving him instructions, or why the weapon in his hand is called THE BLUE ARGUMENT.
Dusthaven is only the first Stop.
To get home, Nathan must survive places pulled from different times and countries, learn Skills, develop his Class and understand rules that are usually technically fair and deeply unreasonable. Dead Contestants leave loot. Equipment changes. The System rewards adaptation whether Nathan wants it to or not.
Fortunately, he isn't doing it alone.
Elsie is an elderly woman in a wedding dress, cricket pads and a Roman helmet carrying what appears to be an artillery-grade leaf blower. Poppy is six, wearing one pink welly and armed with a toilet plunger. Deputy Thistle is a waist-high tumbleweed with tiny boots, a sheriff's badge and thirty-two years of law-enforcement experience.
Nathan wants out.
The Junction keeps giving him reasons to stay.
And the longer he survives, the harder one question becomes to ignore.
