In 2129, the shadow of a colossal raven passes over Earth—and millions vanish beneath it. Seventeen-year-old Jett Black awakens in Avarra, a vast world of evolving monsters, ancient ruins, strange powers, and territories humanity has never mapped. Jett possesses no great strength or secret knowledge at first—only an obsession with asking the questions everyone else stopped asking and the will to win. In a world where heroes are remembered for what they discover, Jett intends to find out just how much of it remains unknown.
