Thirty years ago, the Towers appeared. They brought monsters, power, and a new kind of human being—the Ascendant. Kael Veyr got none of it. With an F-rank aptitude and a younger sister depending on him, he survives by scavenging what stronger hunters leave behind. He knows his place at the bottom. Then an expedition into the fifth floor goes wrong. Kael should have died. Instead, something inside the Tower recognizes him. No class. No normal leveling system. No promised shortcut to power. Just a single message: EVOLUTION PATH — INITIALIZED. Every evolution will make him stronger. Every evolution may also take something from him. And the deeper Kael climbs, the more impossible the truth becomes. The Towers were never built for humanity. His missing father knew the truth. His mother may still be alive. And whatever is waiting beyond the Towers has been expecting Kael since the day he was born. The only question is what he'll have to become to survive long enough to find out.
