What to Expect: T&D is an epic medieval fantasy adventure saga told through the perspectives of several different lead characters. Based in the fictional custom-made world of Encladeia, the story predominantly features elements of political intrigue, war, combat, horror, and slow-burn romance, and aims to present and develop its characters as organically as possible. Expect both quiet and insightful character-building scenes and action-packed battles, all presented within an overarching cohesive story that seeks to both entertain and potentially prompt reflection among readers. I hope you give it a try, and enjoy! Synopsis: The Nine Realms were once forged through fire together as one by the conquest of Aldaryn the Great. With the full might of the Kingdom of Aldar behind him, he swept across the continent from the east, felling castles and subjugating great kings and queens, and at last brought an unprecedented era of peace and stability after centuries of petty infighting among the realms of old. Thirty seven years past the end of the great war, King Aremos now rules in the shadow of his father. But the high lords remain at odds with one another, the old feuds have not yet dwindled with time, and a shroud of darkness festers to the south of the empire, biding its time patiently. Though the King's succession remains yet undisputed, whispers of discontent over his heir grow ever louder. Soon, prodding eyes will turn to look towards another who might better suit their desires. The Nine Realms stand at a pivotal crossroads in their fledgling history. Will the peace that King Aldaryn sought and thousands died for be maintained for another generation and more, or will it collapse into nothingness and ruin, a lost page in the annals of history? The winds now change, the tides turn. Who will live, and who will die? Author's Note: This is a remastered edition of Encladeia: Thrones & Dominions.
