Ursidae Down: Near Death's Grasp (Vol 1)

"A Man whose Eyes spell Death, Mouth spit Pride, and Ears eat Lies." Gomong Ursidae tasted Heaven in his mouth. As a former firefighter who survived Project Omega, he became the supreme fist of the government, the 'Pale White Death'. With great power came great fortune. And with great fortune came.... attention. He was being seen, he was being heard, and he was greatly praised throughout the nation of Cansington. Heaven warped and twisted him until he was but a hollow shell. But with one choice, made in rare sympathy, brought forth his torment. The government he diligently served under imploded on itself as a consequence, and he was forced into retirement for decades. But now that he discovers the existence of a relic that would make him invincible, Gomong sets out on a selfish quest. The limelight will be his once more. -------------------------- If you like a protagonist who is...... - Egotistical  - Attention-starved -  Narcissistic  - Just Horrid in general  seeking eventual redemption, then this might be your book!
