Three thousand years ago, humanity was losing. At forty-two, he was already close to the greatest masters of the Grand Art, despite being considered far too young to stand among them. While studying an artifact buried beneath ancient Ugarit, he vanished. He wakes in 2026 in the body of a sick eighteen-year-old American. The mana is gone. The monsters are myths. Humanity survived. And somehow, without the Grand Art, it built laboratories and instruments capable of doing things his oldest masters could barely dream of. So he begins again. First with his broken new body. Then with the Grand Art itself, rebuilding what was lost and uncovering secrets that were already ancient in his own time. What neither he nor the modern world yet understands is that the conditions which destroyed his age are beginning to return. Ancient alchemy. Lost civilizations. Modern science. A forgotten Art rebuilt for a world that may soon need it again.
