In Erobe, a continent where power is genetic, granted by divinities through Heritages, there lies an empire. Twins born within this empire, to a family shamed by a failed rebellion, are separated at birth. The twin of Lumonet—the smaller of Erobe’s two moons— grew up in the heart of the empire, venerating it all her life. The twin of Pila grew up in a fishing town on the opposite coast, hating the empire all his life.
