When a refugee convoy disappears and is officially declared lost, Gill still senses survivors among the wreckage. Refusing the order to withdraw, he follows their fading voices into a mystery connected to RX-94 Unit 02, an unfinished Gundam that vanished during the chaos following Char’s Rebellion. Rebuilt as Vigil, the unstable machine gives Gill the power to search where no one else can. But in an era determined to bury Newtypes, psycho-frame technology, and the truth of recent wars, rescuing those whom history has abandoned may prove more dangerous than fighting the enemy. Some pilots fight to win wars. Gill fights to bring everyone home.
