Richie Bear [LitRPG, Progression, Alternate Timeline]

An old asylum. A misfit band of orphans. A sinister group of nuns bent on world domination. And an outcast, whose hunger for adventure might consume them all.Richie lost his parents years ago, somehow miraculously surviving a fire that turned miles of miles of highway and forest to nothing but ash. An accident so terrible that even the memories of the event were consumed in the blaze. Now all Richie has to keep him going are the ghostly whispers of his parents, the ever-present growl of his stomach, and the stories his father used to tell him about a whimsical bear who loved to go on adventures. Years later, Richie hardly remembers those stories, and now they seem to blend in with the stories his adoptive sister Cindy tells him—stories filled with monsters, blood, and death. Things are not all bad for Richie though, not since he woke one night to find a glowing Tome with his name on it floating above his head.  Sending him on quests around the old asylum... preparing him for what is coming. But when Richie is dropped into the forgotten part of the orphanage, he must use what he has learned from those stories to survive, making his way through the labyrinthian corridors of an old asylum where sinister secrets and uncanny horrors await. The deeper he goes, the stranger the night becomes. Sounds follow him, rooms shift around, and the line between imagination and reality begins to twist in unsettling ways. What secrets do the callous nuns keep locked away in the lesser‑used parts of the orphanage? Plans for world domination? Secret recipes for honey‑flavored chicken? Just how tasty and horrible will they be? Richie, who has always been a very brave little bear, plans to find out.Besides, the voices inside him will never let him linger.
