Knight Adventurer (and his band)

One cannot save the world alone. Mark grew up on stories of great heroes saving the world. Gallant knights who fight to protect the weak, and brave adventurers who venture into the unknown, facing deadly monsters, so that others don’t have to. He always wished that one day, he too could become such a hero. Unfortunately, he is a simple commoner. His role is to serve others, even if his master happens to be a retired adventurer himself. He can only dream of grand quests and saving the innocent. In practice, he will never venture further than the nearest town. Until fate itself comes looking for him. When a terrible enemy brings havoc and destruction to his village, he is forced to abandon his peaceful life. He must journey out into the world to recover a stolen artifact before it can fall into the wrong hands. He discovers that life on the road is not as simple as the stories told him. Behind every knight, is a team of servants, ready to assist. Behind every adventurer, a party of friends willing to help. He will need to forge new bonds, find new allies, and decide whom to trust, if he hopes to become a knight adventurer like the role models of old. Schedule: Daily chapters for the first month. Then 5 chapters a week. Approx. 2500 words per chapter. What to expect: - Slow burn, weak to strong progression - A five man band main cast. A main MC who acquires a team of companions, each with a different set of skills, strengths, and weaknesses that complement each other and help them work together. - Strategic combat, utilizing different weapons, tools, and everyone's abilities - A rich world, with different nations, cultures, and environments, as well as factions vying for power
