A dying knight's Blade Mastery IX, offered at four percent a day, compounding, due in fourteen days. Aran Voss had forty seconds to decide. He took it. He'd spent six years collecting other men's debts, writing "collateral: unspecified" onto contracts for people who couldn't read. Repayment is accepted in owned capability only. Aran owns nothing. He was in default from the moment he said yes, and when it comes due the System decides what it takes instead.
