A dry, hollow laugh escaped Agi's lips. "So that's how it is," he muttered to the empty room, a palm pressed to his face. "All of this ... it's actually real." He stared at the massive, transparent screen. A glaring red banner stretched across the bottom of the broadcast. [THE FIRST MADNESS HAS JUST BEGUN] "Every time I lose consciousness, whether from sleep, exhaustion... or even death. My mind is violently dragged twenty years across time. From my actual world where the madness has just started, straight into this post-apocalyptic hell ...." His breathing grew heavy. His eyes returned to the screen, locking onto the flashing timestamp. July 17, 2045. Agi stumbled backward. His legs hit the edge of a steel chair. He collapsed into it heavily. The pale blue light washed over his face. The heavy silence of the room pressed down on his chest. "What the hell ...." Agi whispered, his voice cracking. "... am I supposed to do?"
