Humanity crossed the stars to settle Nhem, but generations later, the descendants of the colonists are losing both their history and their humanity. The alien world is beautiful, fertile and relentlessly hostile: immense forests swallow human settlements, spores permeate every living thing, and strange organisms blur the boundaries between plant, animal and human.
