The end of Gaia is nigh, and Anacharsis – quite unwittingly – has become the catalyst for the coming apocalypse. A moody, pessimistic, perhaps even paranoid young man, Anacharsis is convinced he is the unluckiest soul on Aegis. No matter the disasters unfolding around him, all he wants is a chance at a fulfilling life – to explore the world's wonders, far from war and the scheming of the city-states' elites. Yet the class the system obelisk assigned him is broken, a past love beckons him to enact revenge, and the various masters of Aegis have every intention to hound him to the ends of the world. Each is eager to use him in their own schemes to survive a doom that spares not even the supposedly immortal gods. Torn between his true desires, his self-imposed obligations, and the expectations of powerful outsiders, Anacharsis sees no other path but to grasp personal power and overcome the numerous daunting quests the system throws at him. Perhaps only once he becomes the strongest being on Gaia will he finally be left in peace. What to expect: - An ancient-Greece-styled action-adventure LitRPG. The LitRPG elements are essential for the overall story and won't be cast aside or minimized along the way. - Focus on character development and introspection. I wouldn't call it slice of life, but there's definitely considerable downtime from fighting. - Chapters around 8,000 words long on average. The first book is already finished and edited, but I haven't quite figured out the release schedule. - No AI usage beyond the current placeholder image. - Romance and passion are given the time and space they need without distracting from the central story. - A setting-adjusted exploration of politics, philosophy, and religion. It's rather superficial in the beginning, but becomes more important as the story progresses.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 10–19 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
