Carlin Bailey Jr., crowned prince of Ife Ile, wants one thing, a photo with all of his siblings. Getting it means surviving the succession trials: a deadly competition among the heirs to determine the next ruler of the Queendom. Carlin has no interest in the crown. He just needs everyone alive long enough to take the picture. Elsewhere, a coalition of nations has declared war on the National Preservation Commission, a humanitarian organization accused of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, with plans to bring it back. The terms are simple: join the effort or join the opposition. Ife Ile boldly rejects the Coalition Act; they disagree with the resolution the Act provides; this has them caught in the middle of war. When a King is called does he have the liberties to live life as he wants or must he rise to the call?
