The Hospital in Prague has burned. The Order is scattered. Two men are set adrift in the midst of a war which has no end in sight; The Reverend Sir Cyril, left with only his dead Master’s final words and a divine warning from a long-dead Abbess— and the esquire Godric Pferdmann, tasked with keeping his mentor and friend from fracturing. Armed with only each other, two men plunge into the midst of a crusade which has no place for them. Will they find honour or bloodshed? Justice or corruption? Faith or heresy?
There is a snake in Nikolsburg. Pray they have the will to conquer it.
