Beyond the Unknown

Chapter One Summary Randis is a young man who leaves his homeland in search of a better life in Europe after his family sells everything they own for his sake. However, he finds himself aboard a small boat crowded with African migrants somewhere in the sea between Libya and Italy. The supplies run out, and many people die from hunger, while Randis reaches the limits of his endurance. Suddenly, a large ship appears, and everyone believes they have been saved. Randis tries to reach it, but another person collides with him, causing him to fall into the sea. Randis believes he is going to die and sinks into darkness. However, when he opens his eyes, he finds himself alive inside an unfamiliar small hut. He doesn't know who saved him or how he got there. The chapter ends with a mystery: What happened to Randis after he fell into the sea? And where is he now?
