Remnant Knight [Hulking Eldritch Knight Lit-Rpg]

Calder is a behemoth of a man with a gentle manner. He tends the tombs, comforts the spirits, and trains with legends of the past while caring for his grandfather. He wants to live peacefully in his frosty coastal hamlet, to be with his family. None of that will come to pass; a neighboring nation filled with soul-twisting mages is grinding down his homeland day by day, pushing them towards the sea. Calder makes a choice, to do whatever he must to protect those he loves. He will discover he is capable of astonishing acts of violence to protect his family. He accepts a class rife with strife and danger. One that lets him reach beyond the mortal veil to the abyss between life and death and steal fragments of power from the unknowable eldritch entities within. But nothing is ever taken from the beyond without notice. He must learn to wield this powerful force without being consumed by it. The only aid in this endeavor he has is the spirits of those long past who more often than not have their own agendas...their own reason for lingering. What to expect - Hulking bruiser Mc, aided by ghosts. (Eldritch Knight who relies on brawn far more than magic.) -Visceral brutal combat in a war-torn setting. -Kindhearted Mc, who will try to do the right thing but never let those he loves be harmed through inaction. -Eldritch horrors, lots of eldritch horrors
