In the year 2019, The pandemic locked us down with not much to do. A few coworkers got together on a new app called "mRPG Chat". That app allowed us to play our favorite TRPG via chat bubbles. The GM sets up the adventure and the five players try to navigate the story, while getting distracted along the way. We are set in Neverwinter and like all great stories, we start inside a tavern... What to Expect: This was an actual game chat log that is being transcribed into a readable format. Stats and Stat Progressions were made using DNDBeyond's character creators. Dice Rolls were made digitally using mRPG Chat's dice calculator The initial story and game components are based in the DND adventure "Lost Mines of Phandelver". This Campaign was unfortunately never finished, it was so close to the end to! When I get to that part of the story, I'll be creating polls for certain situations and getting help to finish.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 10–19 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
