Shii's power doesn't have a name. Not mage. Not sorcerer. Not witch. Just fire that answers to her — and sometimes doesn't ask permission first.
Twelve years outside the Empire's borders taught her to survive on nothing but grit, and she's finally back where she started: broke, unremarkable on paper, and taking whatever quest the board will give her. A missing-livestock job with a hulking, cheerful warrior named Grond seems simple enough.
It isn't.
What begins as a routine investigation drags Shii back into the world she thought she'd left behind — cockatrice swarms, a wounded stranger with secrets of her own, and a slow-building threat to the only town that's ever felt like home. Shii doesn't know what she is yet. She's about to find out the hard way.
A found-family epic fantasy about the difference between the legend you're given and the one you build yourself.
This is Part 1 of Dragon Princess: Daughter of Foresta — the opening arc of Book 1 (Prologue-Ch9). The full novel continues beyond this point and releases January 2027. Follow for updates!
